Apresentação em Inglês

When building distributed systems and microservices, failing gracefully and preventing catastrophic failure is key. This applies to everything from the smallest components, to entire clusters of services.

During the last few years there has been a surge of new frameworks and tools to help tackle this kind of problems. Some of these tools are based on the actor model, e.g. Akka, Microsoft Orleans, Pony-lang.

In this talk we’ll show how we can leverage the actor model to build resilient and self-healing systems. We will explore how concepts such as actor supervision, behaviors, event sourcing and virtual actors can helps us reach this goal.
